Daisy Corral of Franklin Park, a Triton music student, was presented with a gift Dec. 11 on behalf of Triton College President Mary-Rita Moore’s Reserve Fund with the Triton College Foundation. Corral was awarded a gift in appreciation for her recorded rendition of the national anthem, now played at every Triton home athletic game.
President Moore, Triton College Foundation President Tom Olson, lead music instructor Salvatore Siriano, and Associate Vice President of Athletics Garrick Abezetian, presented Corral with the check.
“I was so overwhelmed with gratitude when I found out that I was selected, that I started crying,” said Corral. “This makes me very hopeful that I can pursue my dreams and become a singer and vocalist in the future.” read more...
